La respuesta honesta es que no hay una sola \u2014 solo la correcta para una embarcaci\u00f3n concreta, una costa concreta y una vida concreta.<\/p>\n\n      <p class=\"art-body-text reveal delay-1\">En la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, el <strong>sport yacht<\/strong> \u2014 de un solo nivel, perfil bajo, l\u00edneas tensas y mucho cristal \u2014 ha capturado una cuota desproporcionada del segmento m\u00e1s alto del mercado. Las formas son atractivas. La fotograf\u00eda de prensa es irresistible. El marketing se lee m\u00e1s joven. Y mientras esa est\u00e9tica avanzaba, una corriente paralela se ha movido por debajo: el flybridge se ha reconstruido por completo. La \u00e9poca de un fly angosto compartido \u00fanicamente por el capit\u00e1n qued\u00f3 atr\u00e1s. El flybridge contempor\u00e1neo est\u00e1 m\u00e1s cerca, en esp\u00edritu, de una terraza privada en altura \u2014 con wet bar, grill integrado, mesa para diez o doce, sunpads panor\u00e1micos y un segundo helm que da al skipper el mejor lugar de la marina.<\/p>\n\n      <p class=\"art-body-text reveal delay-2\">El argumento del sport, por su parte, no ha perdido fuerza. Un sport yacht bien dibujado es m\u00e1s liviano, m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido, m\u00e1s eficiente en consumo y estructuralmente m\u00e1s bajo \u2014 lo que lo hace m\u00e1s \u00e1gil con viento lateral, m\u00e1s franco en mar de fondo y m\u00e1s amigable con canales de puentes bajos. Las dos embarcaciones no son opuestas, sino <em>dos propuestas distintas del mismo yate<\/em>, y la tarea del comprador es entender cu\u00e1l se ajusta a c\u00f3mo usa el agua en la pr\u00e1ctica.<\/p>\n\n      <p class=\"art-body-text reveal delay-3\">Este art\u00edculo no pretende decir cu\u00e1l es mejor. Esa penalidad aparece como velocidad m\u00e1xima menor y consumo de combustible mayor. La cifra exacta var\u00eda con la eslora, el paquete de motores y la relaci\u00f3n peso-potencia, pero la direcci\u00f3n es constante: la versi\u00f3n sport del mismo modelo siempre ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s eficiente que la versi\u00f3n con flybridge. <em>Siempre.<\/em><\/p>\n\n    <p class=\"art-body-text reveal\">La segunda es <strong>windage contra control<\/strong>. A\u00f1adir una cubierta sobre el wheelhouse eleva tanto el perfil del barco como su centro de gravedad. El t\u00e9rmino t\u00e9cnico es <em>windage<\/em> \u2014 el \u00e1rea por encima de la l\u00ednea de flotaci\u00f3n sobre la que el viento puede actuar. Con viento lateral a velocidades bajas, esa presi\u00f3n complica la maniobra en espacios reducidos y el barco se desplaza con mayor facilidad de su rumbo al aproximarse al amarre. Bow thrusters, joysticks y pod drives modernos compensan eficazmente en la mayor\u00eda de las condiciones, pero la f\u00edsica de fondo permanece.<\/p>\n\n    <p class=\"art-body-text reveal\">La tercera es <strong>visibilidad contra conexi\u00f3n<\/strong>. Desde el upper helm, el skipper tiene la mejor vista del barco \u2014 boyas, color del agua, aproximaci\u00f3n al slip, geometr\u00eda del tr\u00e1fico cercano. Es, por bastante margen, la posici\u00f3n m\u00e1s segura desde la que maniobrar al amarrar. La misma posici\u00f3n, sin embargo, separa al capit\u00e1n del cockpit, del galley y de los ni\u00f1os abajo. La soluci\u00f3n actual es t\u00e9cnica: VHF port\u00e1til en canal familiar, intercom interno y multifunction display que replica las im\u00e1genes en vivo de c\u00e1maras situadas en proa, popa, sala de m\u00e1quinas y cocina. La mayor\u00eda de los flybridge contempor\u00e1neos vienen con este equipamiento de serie. Funciona.<\/p>\n\n    <p class=\"art-body-text reveal\">La cuarta es <strong>altura contra geograf\u00eda<\/strong>. El flybridge eleva el air draft del barco \u2014 la distancia vertical desde la l\u00ednea de flotaci\u00f3n hasta el punto fijo m\u00e1s alto. En costa abierta no es un problema. En el Intracoastal Waterway, en sistemas fluviales con puentes fijos bajos, en aguas de canal donde los puentes abren por horario, s\u00ed puede serlo.
