Entregado en 2018 por el astillero holand\u00e9s <strong>Oceanco<\/strong> en su instalaci\u00f3n de Alblasserdam, es la materializaci\u00f3n de un encargo redactado por el empresario ruso Oleg Burlakov, que abord\u00f3 el proyecto menos como una embarcaci\u00f3n de placer que como un buque de investigaci\u00f3n aplicada: un laboratorio en movimiento para sostener que escala y sostenibilidad no son valores enfrentados.<\/p>\n\n      <p class=\"art-body-text reveal delay-2\">Los n\u00fameros explican una parte del caso. <em>Ciento seis coma siete metros<\/em> de eslora, una manga de 15 metros, 2.864 toneladas brutas de volumen interior, capacidad para doce hu\u00e9spedes en siete camarotes, una tripulaci\u00f3n de veintisiete. Pero los n\u00fameros son la parte f\u00e1cil. Lo verdaderamente nuevo del Black Pearl es lo que esos n\u00fameros hacen \u2014 y lo que se niegan a hacer \u2014 con el viento, con el oc\u00e9ano y con la energ\u00eda que dejan tras de s\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n      <p class=\"art-body-text reveal delay-3\">Es, en el sentido preciso que la industria pocas veces se permite, <em>un yate de vela aut\u00e9ntico<\/em>: capaz de zarpar de su amarre solo con velamen y de cruzar el Atl\u00e1ntico sin quemar una sola gota de combustible f\u00f3sil. Dos motores di\u00e9sel MTU 12V 2000 M72 gestionan la propulsi\u00f3n con motor y llevan al yate hasta los <strong>17,5 nudos<\/strong>. Tres generadores Scania alimentan la carga hotelera cuando la embarcaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 fondeada o utilizando equipos auxiliares. Bajo vela, el barco supera con regularidad los 20 nudos y ha sido registrado por encima de esa cifra con vientos favorables; el constructor cita un m\u00e1ximo de 30 nudos a vela en condiciones \u00f3ptimas.<\/p>\n\n    <p class=\"art-body-text reveal\">La parte ingeniosa est\u00e1 entre los dos sistemas. Cuando el yate navega a vela, sus h\u00e9lices de paso variable pueden invertirse y emplearse como turbinas, captando energ\u00eda cin\u00e9tica del agua que pasa bajo el casco. A una velocidad media de 14 nudos, el sistema captura aproximadamente <strong>138 kilovatios<\/strong> \u2014 suficiente para alimentar toda la carga hotelera y recargar los bancos de bater\u00edas sin encender un solo generador. El yate entra en lo que la tripulaci\u00f3n llama <em>silent ship<\/em>: horas de navegaci\u00f3n con los di\u00e9sel y los generadores totalmente apagados, solo con viento y energ\u00eda cin\u00e9tica almacenada.<\/p>\n\n    <p class=\"art-body-text reveal\">Un sistema de recuperaci\u00f3n del calor residual completa el cuadro. La combinaci\u00f3n es lo que sostiene la afirmaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s citada del yate: la capacidad transatl\u00e1ntica sin quemar combustible f\u00f3sil. La cifra no es te\u00f3rica. En su primera traves\u00eda atl\u00e1ntica, a finales de 2023, el Black Pearl naveg\u00f3 de Montenegro a St Barths: <em>5.600 millas n\u00e1uticas, 20,5 d\u00edas, alrededor de 32.000 litros de gasoil consumidos<\/em>. El acceso para charter ha cambiado las cosas, y los interiores \u2014 dise\u00f1ados por <strong>Nuvolari Lenard<\/strong> en colaboraci\u00f3n con <strong>Villate Design<\/strong>, con aportes de Ken Freivokh \u2014 han sido descritos por el propio equipo como un homenaje al idioma neocl\u00e1sico de Luis XVI.<\/p>\n        <p>El vocabulario es preciso, no ostentoso: maderas labradas en caoba intensa, alfombras de seda tejidas a mano, acentos de oro contenidos, suelos de m\u00e1rmol mantenidos c\u00e1lidos por sistema de calefacci\u00f3n radiante en la mayor parte de los espacios p\u00fablicos. Su techo est\u00e1 revestido con LEDs de fibra \u00f3ptica dispuestos para reproducir las constelaciones tal como se observaban sobre Rotterdam la noche en que el Black Pearl fue botado \u2014 una cartograf\u00eda celeste privada que se lee como simple decoraci\u00f3n hasta que uno realmente mira hacia arriba. El espacio se transforma a lo largo del d\u00eda: una suite de wellness con sauna, hammam, sala de masajes y gimnasio; un night lounge al caer la luz; y, con las puertas de la terraza abri\u00e9ndose hacia el mar, una sala por completo independiente cuando el yate est\u00e1 fondeado.<\/p>\n\n    <p class=\"art-body-text reveal\">En la cubierta superior, el m\u00e1stil de mesana sostiene la mayor pantalla de cine exterior jam\u00e1s instalada en un yate \u2014 una instalaci\u00f3n de 14 por 9 metros que convierte el flybridge en un cine al aire libre tras la puesta del sol. A proa, un jacuzzi de cubierta mira hacia el horizonte. Por debajo, una bodega climatizada acoge una colecci\u00f3n curada junto a una sala de degustaci\u00f3n; las cifras citadas en distintos relatos oscilan entre 400 y 4.000 botellas, seg\u00fan se incluyan o no las reservas y los destilados dedicados.
