The Wallywind story began in 2022 with the concept of a series of high-performance sailing yachts ranging from 110 to 150 feet in length. This first model embodies the brand’s DNA, blending Wally’s signature minimalist lines with sleek performance and features typical of much larger yachts.
The Wallywind 110 is built with a carbon fiber composite, a material Wally pioneered in the sailing world and continues to excel in. Carbon masts and rigging are paired with a meticulously optimized Judel/Vrolijk & Co hull, delivering thrilling cruising capabilities and racing potential—all managed with a minimal crew. Its metallic blue hull shimmers in varying shades depending on sunlight.
Outdoor Living Redefined
The cockpit alone sets the Wallywind 110 apart from much larger yachts. Over 80 square meters (861 sq. ft.) of sofas, sun loungers, and casual dining areas can be arranged in different configurations to suit the owner’s needs. This area is entirely free of navigation controls, which are all concentrated aft. Even while underway, guests can relax and enjoy the sail without lifting a finger. Unlike many large sailing yachts, the cockpit is entirely step-free, offering a seamless flush deck from the aft to the sun loungers.
This guest deck space is also remarkably well-equipped, with cleverly concealed refrigerators, so there’s no need to head below deck for refreshments.
Another hallmark of Wally is the sleek, low-profile silhouette of the yacht’s sides. It creates the impression of a fully flush deck with no visible cabin tops interrupting the lines. The cockpit is deep but hidden from view outside the yacht, giving the appearance of a flush deck. In reality, the Wallywind 110 boasts all the benefits of a raised saloon without compromising aesthetics.
There is a forward deck lounge area, but the highlight of the outdoor relaxation spaces is the aft sea terrace. This iconic feature of Wally Yachts offers a stunning social hub at the water’s edge, making the Wallywind 110 the ultimate gathering place.
Magnificent Comfort
The raised saloon design provides significant advantages. Most importantly, it frees up space below the saloon floor for the engine room and other technical equipment, leaving the rest of the yacht for guest accommodations. It allows the Wallywind 110 to offer up to four spacious guest cabins and three crew cabins, with the option to include a bar, an office, or a media room.
The interior layout can naturally be customized to suit the owner, but there is ample room for flexibility. The raised saloon is the focal point of the below-deck living area, with hull lights, windows, and skylights flooding the space with natural light. A large dining table on the starboard side seats up to eight people, while deep sofas on the port side create a cozy lounge area.
The Wallywind 110’s interior design is the result of close collaboration between Wally’s design team, led by Luca Bassani, and Studio Santa Maria Magnolfi. Light natural woods pair with pale upholstery and carbon fiber accents to create a contemporary, informal ambiance that makes the yacht a welcoming haven while hinting at its speed potential.
Exhilarating Performance
As with all Wally yachts, the Wallywind 110 is designed and built to perform at its best. It is not a stripped-down racing yacht but an incredibly capable hybrid, combining speed, ease of handling, and relaxed onboard living.
Twin helms and a meticulously designed hull deliver responsive steering. The standard 4.50m keel (with an optional lifting keel adjustable from 4.50m to 6.80m) supports a sail area of 635 square meters upwind, providing incredible power with precise control. An optional square-top mainsail increases the sail area by about 30 square meters for added performance. Downwind, the yacht can deploy a staggering 1,296 square meters of sail, perfect for dazzling regattas or fast passage times.
The Wallywind 110 is ideal for experienced motor yacht owners looking to transition to sustainable sailing yachts over 100 feet, offering additional comforts such as four guest cabins and three crew cabins. Building on the wave of interest following the construction of the first hull, Wally has already begun work on a second hull, which will feature some slight optimizations.
