The Cranchi Settantotto is ours with a fluid shape, without defined edges, which conveys a natural sensation of balance. The design choices by Christian Grande, who worked closely with the Center for Shipbuilding Research, are not excessive, forced, or aggressive. However, this model exhibits the power expected from any flagship.
Her soft forms, while simultaneously powerful, are equipped to face the sea in any condition: a perfect hull, a high and open bow, and a penetrating “V.”
In perfect combination with the glossy black t-top, the hull highlights the suggestive play of colors between the structure and the superstructure of the yacht, visually lightened. The lines of the Settantotto 78 ft are now even more elegant and sinuous, amplifying the astonishment created by discovering the large areas and generous volumes of the interior, perfectly illuminated by natural light.
There are four cabins available on the lower deck, all with bathrooms: three large double rooms and one cabin with single beds. In each cabin, the beds are positioned longitudinally to the aft/bow axis to offer guests the best comfort while they rest. The full-width master cabin sits in the midship area, with a dressing room and beauty nook or office space, giving the feel of a large, luxurious suite. The VIP cabin in the bow is distinguished by sophisticated elegance and great comfort. The crew cabin, with separate access from the other areas, also houses the laundry room with a washer and dryer. This cabin is located between the engine room and the owner’s cabin to ensure the best acoustic comfort for the sleeping areas, aided by sound deadening applied to all walls.
Large volumes, elegance, and functionality are the distinctive elements of the deck, where the kitchen, living room, and relaxation areas are optimally distributed. The presence of an additional bathroom on the main deck represents an unusual detail on a yacht of this size. On the main deck and flying deck, the yacht offers ample outdoor spaces with dedicated areas for socializing and relaxing both forward and aft. To these are added the beach platform that can be quickly and safely accessed. Equipped with an elevator that allows you to go up, down, and forward, the bathing platform can be transformed into a huge terrace with sea views, thanks to the great surface area provided by the teak-lined garage compartment. Opening the compartment hatch reveals a large space where the area used to store a dinghy and jet ski can be separated from the section closest to the beach platform, where sun loungers can be placed.
The customization program implemented by Cranchi Yachts for its flagship is particularly extensive. It includes five decoration options that refer to the aesthetic canons of Italian design, with material and color options that exhibit refined taste and a tone of elegance, warm and relaxing to the spaces.
To make the experience on board even more pleasant and comfortable, each space on the yacht has various entertainment and home automation systems, all of which can be easily managed from a smartphone or the control panel.
The high-tech vocation of the Settantotto is manifested in many other aspects: first of all, in the use of innovative materials. Cranchi Yachts has developed a matrix of resins and fibers suitable, in terms of directionality and malleability, for the needs of the marine industry and capable of withstanding the type of stresses to which a boat is subjected, thus improving the resistance and performance of the boat, hull obtaining, at the same time, a lighter boat. Sound insulation and dampening systems have been applied to all areas of the yacht, with particular attention paid to the engine compartment, which houses three Volvo Penta D13 engines, each capable of providing 1000 HP when required. In short, a compact, reliable, and highly maneuverable yacht that includes everything necessary to guarantee pleasure.
