Crescent Custom Yachts has started construction of the first hull in its new CCY110 series, a 33.5 metre all aluminium multihull being built on spec, before a buyer signs, at the company's shipyard near Vancouver.

The pitch is volume. The CCY110 is designed to deliver the interior and amenities of a 45 metre (150 foot) monohull, more than 7,100 square feet of living and deck space and over 400 gross tons, inside a 33.5 metre platform that stays under 500 GT and draws little water. Penned by American designer Joe Lazzara and engineered by Gregory C. Marshall Naval Architects, it is aimed at shallow cruising grounds such as Florida and the Bahamas, with six staterooms including a full beam owner's suite.

Why build it on spec

Starting hull one without an owner is the bet. It lets Crescent offer an accelerated delivery while a future owner still customises interior, accommodation and systems as construction advances. It also sits alongside a busy order book: the yard recently launched a 36 metre and has 42 and 45 metre steel and aluminium superyachts under way.

The commercial hook is currency. With one U.S. dollar buying roughly 1.41 Canadian dollars in July 2026, the builder is framing a fully custom North American build as a value play for American owners. The sub-500 GT figure carries its own logic, keeping crewing and certification lighter than a full 500 GT yacht.

At the centre of the layout is a 1,500 square foot beach club, conceived as the yacht's main social space, with an open air galley and teppanyaki grill, a plunge pool, a wellness room, multiple lounge areas and direct access to the sea. Crescent will show the project at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this October.
