Sirena Yachts has launched the Sirena 118, its new flagship, a 36 meter composite superyacht that now goes to final commissioning before its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.

The yacht is the clearest statement yet of the shipyard's move into the larger segment. Exterior styling is in house; naval architecture is by Germán Frers, a name more often associated with sailing yachts, which shows in the priorities: a plumb bow and an all GRP fast displacement hull built around efficiency rather than horsepower.

The number that matters

At under 300 GT, the 118 sits deliberately below a regulatory threshold. Staying there keeps crewing, certification and operating requirements closer to what an existing Sirena owner already knows.

This is the same calculation Van der Valk made public this month with its 200 to 500 GT positioning. Two yards, different countries, the same read: volume sells, but tonnage decides who can actually run the boat.

Interiors are by the Dutch studio Cor D. Rover, with a highly flexible tri deck layout and up to six guest cabins. The configurable option worth noting is a two level "loft" suite, connecting the main deck stateroom to a private lower deck retreat with direct access to the water.

Propulsion

Standard power is twin MAN V12 engines at 3,100 hp, for a top speed of 16 knots and long range cruising. An optional 3,800 hp package raises top speed to 21 knots. On an efficient displacement hull, that optional package is less about speed than about resale flexibility: it lets the same platform serve two quite different owner profiles.
