Five years after the 645 SUV redrew what an adventure yacht could carry, Riviera returns to the same hull with a fully reconsidered interior. The Series II is less a facelift than a second reading: quieter, more useful, and unmistakably built for long water.
A hull that has already proven itself offshore does not need reinvention. It needs listening to. The Riviera 645 SUV Series II is what happens when a shipyard spends a full model cycle collecting the answers.
When the 645 SUV first launched in 2021, it arrived as the largest expression of a peculiarly Australian idea: that the cockpit of a sportfisher, the single-level living of a sport yacht and the blue-water manners of a passagemaker could occupy the same 64 feet without any of them apologizing for the others. It worked. The 645 became the anchor of Riviera's SUV collection, the model owners bought when the plan was to leave for a month rather than an afternoon.
The Series II keeps that architecture and rewrites the interior around it. Riviera describes the process as a whole-of-craft refinement approach, which in practice means the yard went through the accommodation deck, the saloon and the galley line by line rather than reaching for a new silhouette. The result reads as continuity with better judgement: the same generous volumes, a more contemporary material register, and a set of technologies that have moved from optional to expected.
It is built where every Riviera is built, at the yard's facility on the Gold Coast in Queensland, and it carries the weight of that record. More than 6,300 motor yachts in 46 years, most of them still cruising, all of them handed over with the same three-layer warranty structure the Series II inherits.
Two yachts, one waterline
The SUV formula is easy to describe and difficult to execute. Take the exhilarating offshore performance and the working cockpit of Riviera's Sports Motor Yachts. Take the single-level luxury and the openness of the yard's Sport Yacht philosophy. Ask them to share a hull without either compromising. At 64 feet, the 645 SUV Series II has the volume to make that arrangement feel deliberate rather than negotiated.
The proof is in the cockpit, which measures a little over 97 square feet and refuses to settle on a single identity. It is a water sports hub when the tender and the toys come off the hydraulic swim platform. It is an outdoor room when the sun drops. It is a fishing platform when the day calls for it, with a broad range of options to commit it in that direction. Few yachts of this size hold three vocations without the compromise showing at the seams.
Above and forward of it, the logic keeps unfolding. The protected alfresco deck, with its lounges, refreshment center, television and opening sunroof, is not an appendix to the saloon: it is the same room, separated by glass that slides away and an awning window that lifts. Move forward and the foredeck opens into lounge seating and sun pads for eight or more, a beach club at anchor that costs the yacht nothing when underway.
The room that refuses to end
The signature of the Series II is the way its interior refuses to declare a boundary. Large sliding glass doors and a lift-up awning window dissolve the wall between the alfresco deck and the saloon, so that the galley finds itself at the center of both rooms at once. Cook facing forward and you are in the house. Turn ninety degrees and you are serving the deck, the cockpit and the water beyond it.
That galley is the clearest beneficiary of the redesign. Premium appliances, solid-surface benchtops, extensive refrigeration, integrated storage and handcrafted cabinetry, all held in a material palette the yard has spent the model cycle recalibrating. Opposite, the lounge and dining arrangement converts without ceremony: a handcrafted table folds out of the aft lounge for a second dining setting, and the same volume dims into a private cinema when the day is over.
The Series II is more functional, more luxurious, and more enjoyable.

A little over 97 square feet of working deck, the largest in the SUV collection. Water sports hub, entertaining space or fishing platform depending on the options specified, with a hydraulic swim platform that turns the transom into a private beach at anchor and simplifies the launch and retrieval of watercraft.
Teak underfoot, generous lounges, a refreshment center with icemaker, a Smart TV and an opening sunroof overhead. Protected enough to hold a long lunch in weather, open enough to belong to the sea. It is the hinge on which the single-level plan turns.
Forward of the helm, lounge seating and sun pads receive eight or more guests, with removable teak tables and a sun awning for shade. At anchor it becomes the quietest room on board, and it asks nothing of the yacht when underway.
A suite drawn across the whole hull
The accommodation deck is the largest in the SUV collection, and the full-beam master is the reason. A walk-around queen berth, a chaise lounge set against the hull windows, cedar-lined wardrobes, premium finishes throughout and a private ensuite that reads as a room rather than a compartment. It is the space where the Series II refinement is most legible, because it is the space with the least to hide behind.
Guests are held to the same standard. A VIP suite forward carries its own ensuite, and the guest staterooms are drawn for flexibility: families, friends, or the long crossing where the crew changes at every port. Three bathrooms serve the deck in every configuration.
The yacht is specified, not bought
The accommodation deck offers three or four staterooms, each layout with three bathrooms and the full-beam master. From there the decisions belong to the owner. The fourth stateroom can give way to a lower lounge, an atrium retreat for teenagers or for the parents who want somewhere to disappear to at anchor.
The utility room is the quiet argument for long cruising: a premium washer and dryer, a large benchtop, serious stowage. Owners who cruise with crew can specify that volume instead as a crew cabin with a Pullman-style berth and a private adjacent day head. Same hull, two entirely different ways of leaving for a month.
A single level, read room by room
Command, made unremarkable
The 645 SUV Series II is offered with twin MAN V8 diesels at 1,300 horsepower each, or twin MAN V12 diesels at 1,550 horsepower, the most powerful pairing in the SUV collection. Both drive through shafts, both are asked to do the same job: hold a comfortable cruise across open water for as long as the 6,500 liter fuel capacity allows, and do it without announcing themselves through the hull.
Around them, the Series II gathers the systems that have quietly become the real luxury of modern ownership. Joystick control at the helm and in the cockpit turns a 64-foot yacht into something a couple can dock without a crew. An integrated multi-camera system watches the blind spots. Sentinel reports on the vessel from anywhere, and CZone digital switching puts the entire electrical architecture behind a handful of pre-programmed modes. The engine room, flow-coated in white and lined with acoustic and thermal insulation, is drawn to be worked in rather than endured.
Built for the long way round
Designed, engineered and handcrafted on the Gold Coast, the Series II leaves the yard with the same three-layer assurance that has defined Riviera ownership for years: a two-year express limited warranty on non-structural components, a five-year MAN engine limited warranty, and a seven-year structural limited warranty covering hull, deck and hardtop.
What the Series II ultimately offers is not novelty. It is resolution. The hull is proven, the layout is understood, the cockpit already knows what it is for. Everything that has changed has changed in the direction of use: better galley, better master, better stowage, better technology, fewer decisions to regret at anchor on the fourth week out. That is a rarer proposition than a new silhouette, and a more durable one.
