Numarine Arrives at Cannes With Five 27XP Hulls Already Sold

The explorer takes its world premiere with the order book open, hull one delivered, and a 48 volt hybrid architecture that is the real news underneath the launch.

Numarine will give the 27XP its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, September 8 to 13, and brings the 40MXP flagship for its European debut. The 27XP arrives with five hulls sold, three in construction and the first already delivered.

The identity of that first owner is the detail worth pausing on: a returning Numarine client, upgrading from a 22XP. The XP range is now old enough to have a second cycle, and the yard is selling upward within its own base rather than fighting for new ones. Five hulls before a public showing says the model was sold on reputation, not on a stand.

The 27XP is the evolution of the 26XP platform, of which 30 hulls are cruising worldwide. More interior volume, more exterior living, the same profile. Exterior and interior design by Can Yalman, naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini. Hull one was delivered in the four cabin layout, which prioritizes a full beam flybridge; a five cabin version is available.

The Mk2 Super Silent Pack

The engineering headline is the new Mk2 Super Silent Pack, developed with Sleipner. It is built on a 48 volt architecture with an integrated Hybrid Power Center, combining a 92.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery bank, 5.6 kW of solar generation, shore power input and intelligent load management. The higher operating voltage cuts losses across onboard systems and stabilizes electrical performance.

For a segment whose owners spend most of their time at anchor, silent capability is not a sustainability gesture. It is the product. Twin MAN 560 engines give a top speed of 13.5 knots, 10 knots cruising, and a transoceanic 2,200 nautical mile range at eight knots.

The 40MXP, in Europe for the first time

The flagship takes the explorer argument up a level: 12 guests in six staterooms, full beam master on the main deck, and two cabins configured as adaptable spaces, a seventh guest cabin, a children's room or an office, depending on the season. Guest and crew circulation are separated throughout.

The stern is organized around a beach club at water level. On the Cannes unit, the owner specified a second pool on the upper deck in place of the crane and tender area, which gives the yacht two distinct outdoor zones at different heights. Range is 6,000 nautical miles at eight knots, enough to cross the Atlantic without a fuel stop. Standard power is twin MAN 800 hp diesels, with 900 hp units available. Acoustic and vibration engineering was developed with Silent Line.
