Oceanco Takes a New Build and a Rebuild to Monaco, Side by Side
Leviathan and Draak share one owner and one mission. Showing them together puts the yard's Life Cycle Support division on the same stand as its new construction, for the first time.
Oceanco will present two yachts at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show: Leviathan, 111m/364ft, delivered in November 2025, and Draak, 93m/305ft, delivered in June 2026 after a comprehensive rebuild. Both belong to Gabe Newell, and both were built to operate together.
It is the first time the yard has brought a new build and a rebuild to the show at once, and that pairing is the story. A new flagship draws the crowd. Placing a rebuilt yacht beside it, with equal billing, is a deliberate signal about where a modern superyacht builder now expects to earn.
The rebuild as headline
Draak was delivered in June 2026 following a comprehensive rebuild by Oceanco's Life Cycle Support, reimagined for an entirely new operational purpose. She now supports Inkfish expeditions with specialist diving facilities, a capable tender fleet and heavy-duty lifting systems.
Many of the design and operational principles introduced on Leviathan were carried across to Draak. For a broker or a yard director, that is the useful part: a refit here is not a cosmetic freshen up but a change of role, executed to new build standards on an existing hull.
Leviathan, delivered in November 2025, was drawn around life aboard. Communal spaces are laid out to encourage guests and crew to mix, while low maintenance materials are chosen to keep crew productive rather than occupied. Dedicated facilities, including a dive center, laboratory and hospital, support the science that Inkfish exists to serve.

The two yachts are companions by design, built to work as a pair rather than as a matched set. The show also marks just over a year since Newell joined the Oceanco team, in July 2025. Across that period the builder has widened its group, adding Alewijnse and Winel to the specialist companies Aluship, Lateral and Mercury already inside it.
That vertical reach is the quieter subplot at Monaco. Owning more of the supply chain gives a yard more control over cost, schedule and the kind of unconventional, mission specific work that a project like Draak demands. Leviathan and Draak go on display at the cruise terminal, with hospitality spaces across the show.
