Pearl Yachts Completes Initial Sea Trials on the 30 Meter Pearl 100 Hybrid, Its Largest Yacht, Ahead of Fort Lauderdale 2026
The flagship has been on the water as a complete yacht for the first time. She is the largest Pearl to date and the first model in the fleet with hybrid propulsion.
The first Pearl 100 Hybrid has left the shipyard and completed her initial sea trials ahead of her world debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, from October 28 to November 1, 2026. It was the first time the 30 meter raised-pilothouse flagship had been on the water as a complete yacht.
The model brings together three firsts for Pearl Yachts in a single hull. It is the largest yacht in the fleet, the first to carry hybrid propulsion and the first to be laid out around two full-beam principal suites. Sea trials are the point at which those elements stop being separate programs and start working as one boat, which is what the yard has now confirmed on the water.
A hybrid built around time at anchor
The twin-shaft e-Motion system pairs two MAN V12 diesel engines of 2,000 hp each with two radial-flux permanent-magnet electric motors. The installation supports several operating modes, among them silent electric cruising and extended range, so the same yacht can move quietly at low speed or stretch her legs on the diesels depending on the passage.
The associated Power Pack is designed to support the yacht's hotel loads without running a generator, which covers the electrical demand of living on board, from air conditioning to the galley. For an owner, that is the part of a hybrid system felt at anchor rather than underway, and it is the reason hybrid propulsion has moved from a technical argument to a comfort argument at this size.
"the first opportunity to operate the Pearl 100 Hybrid as a complete yacht"
Iain Smallridge · Founder and Managing Director, Pearl YachtsTwo principal suites, and a terrace of their own
The accommodation is arranged around five guest cabins, each with its own bathroom, and two of them are principal suites. The owner's suite runs the full width of the yacht on the main deck and opens directly onto a private foredeck terrace. The second full-beam suite sits in the central part of the lower deck. A forward double suite and two twin cabins complete the guest arrangement, with separate quarters for four or five crew.
Two suites of that standing on a 30 meter widen the range of owners the model suits, from a family that shares the yacht to a program with regular guests on board. Placing the main deck suite alongside its own foredeck terrace also gives that cabin private outdoor space, which is the detail that tends to settle the choice between sleeping on the main deck or below.
Deck ideas that keep the yacht connected
Dixon Yacht Design is responsible for the exterior styling, the layout and the naval architecture. Two moves stand out. Fold-out wings extend the aft cockpit toward the water, enlarging the social area at sea level, and a passage links the extended flybridge directly with the foredeck, so the upper deck connects to the bow without crossing the interior. Both are circulation decisions, and on a flybridge yacht they are what determine whether guests use the whole boat or settle in one place.
The interior carries Kelly Hoppen's new Monochrome scheme, and owners can also specify her Indulgence, Luxury and Modern styles, each with its own character and finishes. Pearl Yachts will present further details of the flagship at the 67th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where the Pearl 100 Hybrid makes her official world debut.
